Two types of allergy skin testing are usually performed: scratch tests or multi-tests on the back, and intradermal tests on the arm. Infants and small children generally receive only limited skin testing. Immune and allergy blood test are more frequently necessary in our very young children. The number of tests will vary based on the patient's need.
