Your Trusted Healthcare Partner in Northern Berkshire
Northern Berkshire Healthcare was established to integrate healthcare services in northern Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Founded in 1984 as Northern Berkshire Health Systems, we evolved through strategic mergers, including the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire in 1997 and REACH Community Health Foundation in 1998. Our legacy includes operating North Adams Regional Hospital, a cornerstone of the community for over a century, and providing comprehensive care from acute hospital services to home health.

We prioritized compassionate, community-driven healthcare, supported by board-certified professionals and innovative programs like our Community Art Program. Despite closing in 2014 due to financial challenges, our commitment to patient-centered care and local health initiatives remains a testament to our enduring impact.
