Our goal is to be an excellent Eyecare Provider; serving our patients with respect and striving to provide the best and most up-to-date care available. Dr. Robert L. Groat has been serving the greater Greensboro community since 1975. His two sons, Dr. Christopher L. Groat & Dr. R. Scott Groat, are now with the practice, along with Dr. Sandy Thimmappa Cohen.

Robert L. Groat, MD is a graduate of Greensboro Senior High School (now Grimsley) ('62), Davidson College and Harvard Medical School. He performed an internal medicine internship at Duke University Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Washington University Medical School (Barnes Hospital) in St. Louis, Missouri.
