Dr. Shadid is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is President of Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. He has been in practice since 1994 and specializes in advanced knee, hip, and shoulder conditions. He is a distinguished researcher, participating in consistent clinical studies on knee, shoulder, and hip conditions, specifically as it relates to innovative treatments for Osteoarthritis. He was also a pioneer in performing customized implants that are manufactured specifically for each patient's individualized anatomy.

A. With any arthroscopy you may shower once sutures or staples have been removed. After we remove the dressing and any sutures or staples we will apply adhesive strips. Expect these to loosen and come off over a period of several days as the incision is healing. A. When your surgery is scheduled, you will then choose a time for your first post-operative appointment which will likely be within 1-3 days following surgery. Note that it may take more than one business day to respond to requests made through e-mail.
