Premium Cataract Lenses
Report
IOLs come in different focusing powers, just like prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. Measurements of the length of your eye and the curve of your cornea will be made. These measurements are used to set your IOLs focusing power. Monofocal IOLs: The most common type of lens used with cataract surgery is called a monofocal IOL.
Glaucoma
Report
Glaucoma is a group of related eye disorders that cause damage to the optic nerve that carries information from the eye to the brain. In its early stages, glaucoma usually has no symptoms, which is what makes it so dangerous - by the time you notice problems with your sight, the disease has progressed to the point that irreversible vision loss has already occurred and additional loss may be difficult to stop. In most cases, glaucoma is associated with higher-than-normal pressure inside the eye - a condition called ocular hypertension.
Comprehensive Eye Exams
Report
Our doctors use a wide variety of tests and procedures to examine your eyes. These tests range from simple ones, like having you read an eye chart, to complex tests, such as using a high-powered lens to visualize the tiny structures inside of your eyes. A comprehensive eye exam can take an hour or more, depending on the doctor and the number and complexity of tests required to fully evaluate your vision and the health of your eyes. Among the first tests performed in a comprehensive eye exam are visual acuity tests that measure the sharpness of your vision.
