Took my daughter here and had the worst experience. I called the Er before hand and explained her symptoms and they said to come in. I came in got checked in and sat down. Went to the vending machine to get a pop and the triage nurse called her name and I said give me a second I'm getting me a drink and she rudely said I needed to get in there now. So I didn't get my drink and took my daughter in.

She was being rude the whole time saying I shouldn't have brought her there, and if that baby had covid we couldn't do anything for her. My daughter is 2 months old and I'm a first time mom so I was kind of scared when she started to have a runny nose and coughing. I just ended up leaving before we even got a room.

My husband broke and dislocated his ankle at a nearby fishing resort and had to be transported to Davis Medical Center. He had nothing but good to say of the EMTs who came to get him at Elk Springs and transport him to the hospital. When I arrived from Pennsylvania the next day, I was treated with courtesy. My husband's care was excellent. Special thanks to Tracy and the several doctors who saw and took care of him when he most needed it. And best of all, the meals were delicious.

Just based on the first 30 minutes of being there I could already tell I wouldn't recommend this place. My gf has had heart issues and recently had a minor surgery at a Ruby in Morgantown. Lastnight she noticed a symptom from before so she was told to go to a ER to get some tests ran. From the start none of their equiptment was working properly and then the nurse persisted on trying to stick the IV in her after continuously failing to do it. Shes been to many many hospitals and has never had that problem.

After trying one last time in her wrist and making her cry he went and got someone else who got it first try. The doctor talked to us for maybe a total of 5 mins and didn't seem like he cared. Just wasn't a place I wouldn't want anyone I cared about to be at.

We took our 5 yr old in right before 10pm (went the previous night and they misdiagnosed him with an infected scratch)for an highly allergic reaction to poison ivy and there was no receptionist present they had to go and get her and when she finally arrived she had an attitude the entire time. There was three of us, 2 adults and the child. She only provided us with two masks. After checking us in we went back right away and she stopped and rudely told me that only one was allowed back with him at a time (this was the first of hearing about this and there were 3-4 employees in the side room also who didn't say anything) so I went to the waiting room and she very rudely stood back up and flicked her finger at me and told me I had to go outside.

She was extremely unprofessional and didn't give us any of the information while checking us in and also made it a very uncomfortable situation. Seeing as it's a hospital for emergencies and she is incapable to do her job correctly without an attitude when people are already worried and stressed perhaps you should find one who can. 06/22/2020
