Welcome to Westside Orthopaedic Clinic, in Marrero, serving Jefferson Parish and the greater New Orleans area, including Gretna, Harvey, Algiers, and Westbank. Westside Orthopaedic Clinic is a full service orthopaedic clinic offering a wide array of orthopaedic care and services. We are specialists in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (including microdiscectomy and lumbar fusions), kyphoplasty, and cervical disc surgery. We perform surgery for neurological disorders. In addition, we are also specialists in upper extremity care, including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand problems.

To handle the increasing number of patients, the clinic, grew to 7 physicians, had to move to a larger facility. In 1998 the clinic moved across the street to 4500 10th Street Marrero a 10,000 square foot building. The added space allowed the clinic to develop the Sports Medicine & Rehab Center, which enabled the clinic to provide a full service Physical Therapy Center within the clinic.

Angelle is a lifelong resident of the West Bank. She graduated from Fisher High School in Laffite, Louisiana. After attending Delgado Community College, she started working at Westside Orthopaedic Clinic. She has held many positions within the clinic since beginning her employment over 25 years ago.

Westside Sports Medicine and Rehab Center is a full-service Physical Therapy Clinic offering highly specialized manual therapy, as well as traditional therapy treatment options. In a comfortable setting, patients receive one-on-one, individualized treatments that speed recovery and improve quality of life. Application of slowly increasing non-painful pressure over an area to release muscle tension and restore normal blood flow.
Dr. Ralph Katz

Ralph Peyton Katz, MD is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine where he received an M.S. in Anatomy in 1987, and a M.D. in 1990. He spent a year as a surgical intern at the Tulane division of Charity Hospital. After he completed his residency at the University of Iowa, he did a Trauma/Spine Fellowship.
