The Bayou La Batre Area Health Development Board, Inc., has two facilities to serve our patients. Mostellar Medical Center (MMC) is located in Irvington, Alabama near Bayou La Batre and serves the patients of south Mobile County. Southwest Alabama Health Services (SWAHS) is located in McIntosh, Alabama and serves patients in Washington County.

Opened in 1978, Mostellar Medical Center has provided quality healthcare to south Mobile County. We offer various services to help better serve our community. With 17 providers and over a 90 person support staff, we're proud to make people healthier in our area. With a wide range of services here at MMC, you do not have to travel across town to get blood work or an x-ray done!

Added in Bayou La Batre Area Health Development Board, Inc. in 1985, Southwest Alabama Health Services serves residents of Washington County. Our clinic has two providers and six-person support staff. We are so proud to call McIntosh our home and to help better the lives of our patients. SWAHS has two providers.
New Patients

Now that you've made your first appointment, there's some paperwork you'll need to fill out. Both Mostellar Medical Center and Southwest Alabama Health Services use the same new patient forms to make things a little easier for our patients. However, Southwest does not have a Eye Health and Vision or an OB/GYN Department.
