Went into walk-in care and saw Dr. Thiessen regarding a sore throat. While there I was asked if I wanted vaccines while I declined and he continued to pressure me and get defensive about it. This made me very uncomfortable. I would not recommend anyone seeing Dr. Thiessen if you believe in medical freedom

I go here for my yearly visits as well as any "walk in" visits I may need. My primary doctor here is the best doctor I have ever had, hands down! The walk in doctors have also been good to me. I appreciate having such a great facility nearby!

I have always had good experiences with my doctor and nurses until I had an over the phone appointment with Nate Gilbertson in January. I have had a persistent cough since September and as I answered his questions (Living situation, if I'm a smoker, etc.) he preached to me about quitting smoking (Which is a given) but then tells me that if my boyfriend doesn't quit too then he's not worth being with and that where I live is not acceptable and I need toove.
My question is.is he going to pay for me to live somewhere that he approves? And how dare he say that my boyfriend isn't worth being with if he doesn't quit smoking. Needless to say by the end of the phone call I was in tears! So I am more than disappointed and disgusted with my last visit.

Gateway Family Clinic is one of the best small town clinics. The staff have always been professional, confidential and compassionate. Dr. Christopher Thiessen has been my primary doctor for many years, very comfortable to speak with and always provided great care.
