Gateway Family Health Clinic - Randy Rice

The founding physicians were Dr. Raymond G. Christensen and Dr. Greg Peterson. As family physicians, Dr. Christensen and Dr. Peterson provided a wide range of primary care medical services to residents of the community. Through the years, the demand for medical services continued to grow. Based upon this, additional primary care physicians were recruited to meet the health care needs of the region. The group added a number of physicians in the 1980s, during the 1990s, and more recently the past few years.

In addition to his clinical practice at Gateway Clinic, Dr. Harden is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Biobehavioral Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus. His research interests include clinical simulation.

Basic hearing assessment is now included for every patient. A simple hearing screening (30-60 seconds) is part of the normal workup before you see the doctor. For patients who need a more in-depth test, comprehensive exams are provided as an extension of your complete annual physical. All of these services are included as part of the complete annual care we provide to our patients.

When you arrive, our receptionist will ask you to verify your mailing address, telephone contact information, and insurance information, along with requesting a photo I.D. This is necessary information to obtain so that we may contact you regarding your care and also to facilitate billing your insurance carrier.
