A physician with our office is on call 24 hours a day. If a problem arises after our office hours, call 308-381-0162 or 308-384-3199 and you will be put in touch with the physician on call. For the past 40+ years, Family Practice of Grand Island, P.C. has been a leader in providing quality healthcare to families in our community. A colonoscope, a long, flexible, tubular instrument that transmits an image of the lining of the colon. This exam is used to detect changes or abnormalities in the large intestine (colon) and rectum. An esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is performed to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine).
