Breast Cancer Screening
Our breast cancer screening program utilizes advanced 3D mammography and digital diagnostic equipment to detect abnormalities at their earliest stages. We offer personalized risk assessments and tailored screening plans for women with dense breast tissue or family histories. Our board-certified radiologists interpret over 10,000 mammograms annually, maintaining a 98% accuracy rate in cancer detection while minimizing false positives.
Image-Guided Biopsies
We perform multiple image-guided biopsy techniques including stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided procedures with 99.8% technical success rates. Our minimally invasive approach allows most patients to return home within 2 hours with same-day preliminary results. The dedicated breast pathologists provide final diagnoses within 24-48 hours, with immediate treatment planning initiated upon confirmation.
Cryoablation Treatment
As one of Tennessee's first providers, we offer cryoablation for treating small, early-stage breast cancers. This office-based procedure freezes malignant tissue without surgery, preserving breast appearance and reducing recovery time. Clinical studies show 95% complete tumor ablation rates with our program, which includes comprehensive post-treatment monitoring through our dedicated follow-up clinic.
Mobile Mammography
Our mobile mammography unit brings screening services to workplaces and rural communities across East Tennessee. Equipped with full-field digital mammography and 3D tomosynthesis, the unit provides same-day imaging with board-certified technologists. Over 30 years of service have made us the region's most experienced mobile breast screening provider, serving over 5,000 women annually.
Multispecialty Cancer Team
Our weekly multidisciplinary conferences integrate breast surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and pathologists to develop personalized treatment plans. This collaborative approach reduces diagnostic delays by 40% compared to traditional referral models. Patients receive comprehensive care plans within 48 hours of diagnosis, with treatment initiation typically within one week.

Today was my first time visiting KCBC and it was a lovely experience. My appointment was at 9, I was back by 9:15 and got my results before I left. Everyone was very friendly and treated me very nice! Thank you LCBC for your help and kindness today.

I was nervous when I had gone to the center. The nurse realizing I was alone offered to stay with me which made me less nervous and they cared. Little did I know it was just that one nurse. After I had surgery I had some complications which were ignored and not attended to in a proper manner. I felt more like a number than a person. There was no interest in follow up communication even though they were made aware how serious things had gotten.

Twice my appointment was changed and I wasn't notified. I took off work twice only to find the bus wasn't even where I was scheduled. This is ridiculous. I'm transferring to UT.

I had a wonderful first time experience today. I'm under 40 so I was terrified walking in but everyone on staff was so sweet and explanatory. The staff was communicative the entire time and kept us posted on wait time along the way. They were swamped but compassionate. I'm only giving this a 4/5 because when I received my welcome packet it listed two appointments with "15 mins" per Appt respectively at 8am and 8:15am.

I've been here for 3 hours now so that was quite off and I had to arrange for additional childcare during that time mid-appointment. I'm only writing this review to bring it to light and perhaps welcome packets can be adjusted to maintain realistic expectations and allow for childcare arrangements ahead of time. Since this was a referral I had no idea how long to expect other than what was written in their published welcome kit. I am completely and totally understanding of how Covid has increased wait times, I just wish I could have planned better coming in the first time. Again, wonderful experience otherwise.

Absolutely the worst horrible experience that I have EVER had at this facility. I scheduled my appointment for November, this past month. They called me only a few days before and said that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. and the only available time was on 12/22. two days before Christmas. So I take the appointment. get up at 4:30am CST because it's an hour and a half drive. arrive early to my appointment. and have now been sitting here for TWO HOURS waiting.

And only for an ultrasound. not even the standard mammogram. And that's not counting the wait in the waiting room. I'm currently sitting "in que". watching women who checked in after me get called back, one after another. I will NEVER BE BACK.

My first experience at KCBC was wonderful this week. I participated in their new FDA study for non compression imaging which no one else can do in the area. The staff were curteous and kind, the wait was longer as to be expected and everyone was following Covid protocols. The equipment they use allows their Doctors to detect cancers and other things that were not visable on my previous mammogram last year at another facility.

I will definitely be returning to the place with the best equipment and feel much more confident in their ability at early detection. I would recommend to others and hope the study allows for non compression screening next year.
