Mri
Report
MRIs offer several distinct advantages over other imaging methods. The images captured by an MRI are extremely precise and each exam produces hundreds of images that are cross-sectional in all three directions (side-to-side, top-to-bottom, and front-to-back). These images allow your radiologist to examine the scanned area in great detail from a variety of angles, one segment at a time.
Breast MRI
Report
Breast MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a relatively new application of advanced MRI technology that greatly improves your doctor's ability to detect, diagnose and appropriately treat breast cancer. A Breast MRI is often used to confirm or explain areas of concern detected by mammography, physical exam, or other imaging exams.
MRI Breast Biopsy
Report
A breast biopsy is a simple procedure that involves sampling tissue from an area of concern within the breast. This tissue is taken from any lump or abnormality your doctor feels or sees in a breast image. The images may be from a mammogram, an ultrasound, or MRI. A pathologist will examine the tissue samples taken during your biopsy to determine a diagnosis.
