Dr. Dawes is a native of Wabash, Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana University and Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine residency with board certification at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana and a Dermatology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine and received board certification from the American Board of Dermatology in 1995.
Acne Surgery

Acne surgery is the process of exfoliating with either a light chemical or an enzyme to remove the top dead layers of skin. After this process is completed, the esthetician will perform extractions; removing closed and open comedones (blackheads) that appear under the skin and open on the surface. If needed, draining of other inflamed pustules and cysts are completed as well.
