This is an emerging area of general surgery in the Chattanooga region consisting of acutely ill patients who require immediate surgical evaluation and emergent/urgent care. USA surgeons are immediately available at Erlanger Trauma Center 24-hours a day, seven days a week, providing emergent/urgent care to these patients. To discuss the transfer of a patient, the Erlanger Transfer Center is staffed 24-hours a day and may be reached by calling (423) 778-8100.
