211 Essex St. is just 3 short blocks from Hackensack University Medical Center, on the Essex Street side. We are one block from the corner of Essex St. and Polifly Road (Polifly Road is the same as First St.) The office parking lot is on Newman St. There is a MacDonald's restaurant on the the corner of Essex and Newman St., so just turn onto the block with the MacDonalds, go 50 feet, and you will see a large lot on your right. From Route 80 East, take EXIT 63, Essex St and go East on Essex St. to MacDonald's on the corner of Newman St. and Essex.
Your Visit
Report
Neurological Consultation generally will last 30-60 minutes, depending upon the nature of the problem and whether specific testing is needed. If this is a follow-up visit we ask that you update your medical history as well (available here - follow up.pdf). Please come early, as sometimes the parking lot is crowded, especially between 10 AM and 3 PM.
Tests
Report
EMG (also known as electromyography) is a test used to evaluate for neurologic conditions such as neuropathy, myasthenia gravis, myopathy and sciatica. This test uses small electrical impulses to stimulate individual nerves. By measuring the nerve's response we can determine what and where the problem is.
