Dr. Ashley Lentz grew up in the Daytona Beach Area. Her great grandfather, Laurence Thompson, was among the community's first residents, serving as a merchant and city official. He built the first home on the Peninsula, which still stands today, called "Lillian Place". Dr. Lentz's family still lives in the Daytona Beach and Ormond Beach Area, serving as an active community member.
