If someone colors their hair regularly, it is best to color at least two weeks before and at least two weeks after any surgery, just to avoid potential irritation of the scalp. The earliest you can get a haircut is post op day four after an FUE procedure, but in general it is best to wait until any crusting on either the recipient or the donor area has resolved, which is usually about a week.
