Services
Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery removes cloudy lenses and replaces them with artificial intraocular lenses to restore clear vision. This outpatient procedure addresses age-related vision impairment caused by lens thickening and tissue breakdown. Our surgeons use advanced techniques to ensure safe, effective outcomes for patients experiencing foggy vision or reduced visual acuity.
Pediatric Ophthalmology
Specialized pediatric eye care addresses childhood conditions like strabismus, amblyopia, and retinopathy of prematurity. Our board-certified specialists provide comprehensive exams and treatments tailored to children's unique developmental needs, ensuring early detection and management of vision disorders that could affect long-term eye health.
Glaucoma Treatment
We offer comprehensive glaucoma management to address elevated intraocular pressure that damages optic nerves. Treatment options include medicated eye drops, laser therapy, and surgical interventions to prevent vision loss. Regular monitoring helps control progression of this potentially blinding condition through personalized care plans.
Optical Services
Camp Bowie Optique provides premium eyewear solutions including prescription glasses, contact lenses, and specialty tints. Our certified opticians offer designer frames from brands like Ray-Ban and Coach, along with advanced lens technologies such as anti-reflective coatings and photochromic lenses for comprehensive vision correction needs.
Strabismus Surgery
Strabismus surgery corrects misaligned eyes by adjusting eye muscle tension, improving both functional vision and cosmetic appearance. This procedure treats crossed eyes or wall-eyed conditions in children and adults when non-surgical treatments prove ineffective, restoring proper eye coordination and depth perception.

I cannot say enough about the incredible level of care my family (both children and adults) has received from Dr. Ranelle. At a time when so many specialists know everything about their area of expertise but often not as much about other disciplines, Dr. Ranelle has been incredibly helpful to us in a larger "functional medicine" manner, explaining and guiding us to other specialists as needed. As an ophthalmologist she doesn't just treat the symptom, but wants to help find the root issue. She and her staff are compassionate and helpful, and we are tremendously grateful for her care.

Dr. Ann Ranelle is actually an Opthalmologist/ Pediatric Opthalmologist. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting her as of yet, however my parents have known her and family for many years. They have used her and her father both and dearly loved them. My father also used to be a surgical RN and worked with her father in surgery. My parents highly recommend Dr. Ann Ranelle.

Wonderful doctor & staff. Our families have been seeing both Dr. Ranelle's since the 70's. You will not get a more detailed thorough exam from another doctor. She is very easy to talk too. She is also AMAZING with children.

I just drove 85-90 miles per hour to make an appointment with my two grandchildren in the car. I called to say I had gotten held up at work. Was told I had 15 minutes. I was coming from Arlington to Ft Worth and told her I would hurry. I pulled up at 18 minutes. Let both girls out and went to park. The heartless and hateful receptionist would Not see us. I can assure you I have waited more than 15 minutes to be seen all these years and think 3 minutes should have been close enough. I will find another Dr who hires people with compassion
