We perform MRI's and MRA's. No. Unlike traditional X-ray and CT scans, MRI does not use ionizing radiation. The MRI creates detailed images of the body using magnet and sound waves. MRI provides good contrast between the different soft tissues of the body, which makes it especially useful in imaging the brain, muscles, and cancers compared to other medical imaging techniques.
