Services
LASIK Surgery
LASIK surgery at Virginia Eye Consultants utilizes blade-free laser technology to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Our experienced surgeons reshape corneal tissue with precision, offering rapid visual recovery and reduced dependency on corrective lenses. Patients benefit from preoperative consultations and postoperative care tailored to individual ocular anatomy.
Cataract Surgery
Advanced cataract surgery employs laser-assisted techniques and premium intraocular lenses to restore clear vision. Our specialists address coexisting conditions like astigmatism while minimizing recovery time. Comprehensive evaluations determine optimal lens selection for each patient's lifestyle and visual requirements.
Dry Eye Treatment
Specialized dry eye management combines diagnostic testing with targeted therapies like LipiFlow and intense pulsed light. Our approach addresses meibomian gland dysfunction and aqueous deficiency through evidence-based protocols, providing lasting relief from chronic ocular discomfort.
EVO ICL
EVO ICL offers an alternative to laser vision correction for patients with thin corneas. This reversible procedure involves implanting a collamer lens to correct myopia without removing corneal tissue. The biocompatible lens provides UV protection and maintains natural eye anatomy.
Oculofacial Plastic Surgery
Our oculoplastic surgeons perform eyelid lifts, brow rejuvenation, and non-surgical treatments to enhance facial aesthetics. Procedures address both cosmetic concerns and functional issues like droopy eyelids while maintaining ocular safety and natural appearance.

Wife had an appointment at 12:45. Didn't get into the exam room until 1:30. Doctor didn't show up until 1:45. And didn't even have the decency to apologize for the wait. Completely unacceptable.

This has been the worst experience trying to get our son in for a necessary surgery. It's been since the spring of 2021 that we have tried to get this appointment. It's finally scheduled next week.but they have NOT called back as promised with information regarding when and where the appointment is AND any health and safety precautions we need to take and prepare for before and especially AFTER the surgery.

They said 72 hours, it's been almost a week and no one has called. Their answering service is terrible, sitting 10 minutes or more on hold and no one ever picks up to check in. When they do, they are of little help. Abysmal. It's a shame, because we hear the doctor is good, but everything else screams this is an awful practice and location.

This is the worst eye care place I have ever been to. When I scheduled my appointment I asked if they took my insurance and I was told yes so I made an appointment and now I am told they do not accept my insurance and I will have to pay the whole bill of over $600 just for a regular eye exam. I am now stuck with a large bill of over $600 and Virginia Eye Consultants haven't tried to help in the least bit.

They keep giving me the run around. I have been told they coded it wrong as medical instead of vision so I asked will they change it and they said NO. I have been told they "don't take my insurance" after I was originally told they did. I have asked them 4 times to run it thru my vision insurance and they just say they will then they do not. I'm not one to complain or write a bad review ever but I find it absolutely ridiculous how unhelpful they have been. I would be more than happy to pay the bill after my insurance is billed for their portion but I can't get anyone to help me. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

All of the staff that I encountered were kind and professional. I have had a fantastic experience with Dr. Pittner, who I sought out to get a 2nd opinion on a potential issue with my eyes. He gave me an extremely thorough exam and answered my lengthy list of questions. I have a far better understanding of my condition after my appointment with Dr. Pittner, and I very much appreciate his expertise and advisement.

It was a very positive experience and I felt that Dr. Pittner understood my hesitations and concerns, and has helped me to understand the options for future care, monitoring, and procedures. I feel confident in his care and very heard as a patient. Thank you for such a positive experience!

Got to the office with my grandmother who is in a wheelchair, and the handicap door was broken, no one offered assistance & when I mentioned it to the front desk their response was" oh yeah its been like that" Really? There were alot of patients in wheelchairs so I guess that not important. We were on time but were still in the waiting room 1/2 hour later had to ask if we were forgotten. Still here 1 hour 40 minutes later & still haven't seen the dr. Once u talk to people they are helpful but the wait is ridiculous
