Services
In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
Our IVF program combines ovarian stimulation medications with laboratory embryo creation to address diverse fertility challenges. Eggs retrieved through minimally invasive procedures are fertilized using either conventional methods or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The resulting embryos undergo quality assessment before uterine transfer, with surplus embryos cryopreserved for future use. This comprehensive approach maximizes success rates while minimizing multiple pregnancy risks.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
This technique places washed sperm directly into the uterine cavity to enhance fertilization potential. Performed alongside ovulation induction medications, IUI bypasses vaginal barriers that could damage sperm. Our protocol optimizes sperm preparation and timing to increase the number of viable sperm available for fertilization, making it particularly effective for mild male factor infertility and unexplained fertility cases.
Gender Selection
Preimplantation genetic screening allows determination of embryo sex chromosomes before transfer. This technology enables family balancing while reducing miscarriage risks by identifying chromosomally normal embryos. Our program combines this testing with IVF to offer accurate gender selection alongside comprehensive genetic health screening for inherited conditions.
Male Fertility
Our andrology services address male factor infertility through advanced diagnostics and treatment protocols. We provide comprehensive semen analysis, hormone testing, and specialized procedures like PESA for obstructive azoospermia. Our approach combines medical management with assisted reproductive techniques, including intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) to overcome severe sperm parameters.
Egg Freezing
This elective fertility preservation option freezes eggs at their current biological age to halt ovarian aging. Our program offers competitive pricing for egg cryopreservation and storage, providing women career-focused or relationship-status flexibility. The process follows identical protocols to IVF egg retrieval, with vitrification technology ensuring high post-thaw survival rates for future use.

TRUST the negative reviews. As a fellow healthcare provider, I can say with confidence that she is not deserving of your business. Our visit began with her reciting a long, canned monologue about the basics of reproductive health. When I made attempts to interrupt her "speech" with questions that were specific to our situation, she was visibly annoyed and responded in a condescending manner. The horror show continued with the ultrasound.
I specifically asked Dr. Ratcliffe if I could insert the wand before the exam. She not only didn't honor my request, she made disparaging comments about my egg supply. The visit was book-ended by Dr. Ratcliffe reading through her brochures and pressuring me to "act now" as if she were a used car salesman. My questions weren't answered and I left the office feeling dehumanized and discouraged. I urge you to not give this woman and her practice any business.
The fertility journey is a long one that should be handled with care and compassion. You have the right to partner with a practitioner who is patient-centered and ethical. Make the commute to SF or Marin where you have WAY better options.

Dr. Ratcliffe is condescending and pulls things out of her you know what. She talks over her patients and by the time my partner and I completed treatment, we felt like we had to keep our mouths closed because she would disregard what either of what we had to say. I would dread having to speak with her at appts. The staff was ok but you could tell they were also slightly scared of her. I don't recommend working with this office. Make the drive elsewhere

Had one of the strangest experiences with this office. My husband and I arrived for our appointment, filled out the paperwork, and were then told the Dr. wouldn't see us and they'd refund our money. No further explanation was given. It was baffling and unsettling.

I have a previous bad experience at our local fertility clinic so I was already nervous walking into our appointment. I'm am glad to say our experience at Advanced Fertility Associates was a completely different. My husband and I both absolutely loved Dr. Ratcliffe. She made us comfortable right from the start, she was extremely knowledgeable but explained everything in a way we could understand and we left with a very clear picture of our next steps. I am so excited to start our journey with them, our two month wait for our appointment was DEFINITELY worth it!
