Impairment ratings help bring cases to closure by measuring the physical loss or loss of use of a body part related to an injury or illness. Impairment ratings are performed once the patient has reached a steady state or maximum medical improvement. At times, there is confusion between the terms "impairment rating" and "disability."

Medix is an Allied Member of the Iowa Motor Trucking Association and we support their efforts on behalf of Iowa's and America's trucking industry. Medix works with Iowa's trucking companies to ensure safety by performing DOT examinations as determined by federal and state regulations and employer-defined protocols.

Post-offer/pre-placement physicals are performed to make sure that individuals can perform essential job functions with or without accommodation. Medix professionals can help our clients develop pre-placement medical protocols and design practices tailored to each company.
