My experience at CAAC was excellent. Doctor took the time to answer all of our questions and was very good with my son, who was nervous about getting so many shots! The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I really appreciated how well everyone interacted with my son. We have been coming to this office for years. The doctors are always professional, personable, and addresses any concerns that we may have. I appreciate the staff's respect for time by being prompt once we arrive for our appointments.

Allergy Shots

Can treat both environmental allergies (pollens, animal dander, dust mite, and mold) and bee allergies. Allergy shots must be administered in the clinic for patient safety to ensure that adverse reactions can be promptly treated. You must stay at the clinic for 30 minutes after your injection so we can monitor you for any symptoms of an allergic reaction.

We have evaluated over 4,000 patients with a history of reactions to penicillin antibiotics. After evaluation and testing, we have found that approximately 90% of these patients can safely take these drugs without fear of a life-threatening reaction. We do know that truly allergic people, with time, can lose their sensitivity to penicillin.

Most patients on allergy shots require 3-5 years of therapy. Shots are administered every 3-4 weeks after an initial build-up phase of weekly shots for 6 months. SLIT is an alternative way to treat allergies. Small, incremental doses of an allergen are placed under the tongue to boost tolerance to the substance and reduce symptoms.
