Established in 1994, we have gained the experience of being able to provide full eye care service including comprehensive eye exams, Optomap retinal exams for early detection of disease, all types of eyeglasses, including lineless bi-focals, contact lenses and a wide selection of fashionable eyewear.

Our Practice

Dr. Sutro is a graduate of San Francisco State University, and has a Ph. D. from the University of Washington. He worked as a researcher at the University of California at Irvine prior to attending the New England College of Optometry. Upon graduation in 1990 he worked as an Optometrist in Spokane where, in addition to his in-office practice, he participated in a mobile eye care program providing vision care in nursing homes and prisons. In 1994 he purchased his current practice from Dr. Russell Bradley.

Optomap Retinal Exam

We all want to protect our eyesight and that is why it is important to have annual vision tests. These checks allow your doctor to detect changes in the front of your eye so that alterations can be made to your eyeglass or contact lens prescription. However, your doctor also needs to look at the back of your eye, the retina, to check that it is healthy and not damaged or showing signs of disease. Many eye diseases, if detected at an early stage, can be treated successfully without total loss of vision.
