Eye Care
Report
There is a difference in eye exams. Of course, the professionals at Eagle Eye Optique do the refraction, where we determine your prescription. We also spend time checking how your general health may be affecting your eyes such as diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, and stroke. We listen to how you use your eyes and match lenses to your needs and wants.
Eyewear
Report
All lenses are not created equal. At Eagle Eye Optique, we offer state-of-the-art eyeglass lenses in the latest designs and materials. We recommend newer-generation progressive lenses, which greatly eliminate swim, distortion, and other optical problems. We recommend aspheric lenses, where appropriate.
Eye Health
Report
One more thing for your eye's health is to avoid excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Sunglasses and a brimmed hat are essential to protect your eyes if you spend a lot of time in the sun. Your sunglasses must filter out UVA and UVB. Some regular eyeglass lenses (Trivex, polycarbonate, high index, or Transitions) have built-in protection from UV radiation, or it can be applied as a coating to standard plastic lenses. There is some debate that blue light might be harmful and sunglasses do help with those wavelengths.
