I've went to this ER many times & it's usually mediocre at best. Services provided, nurses don't listen, your continuously repeating yourself to the same questions, long wait times. It is what it is. This last time I went there, same type of service with the exception of one staff member, the PCA Sandra, went above and beyond to ensure my son and I were comfortable, even asked I wanted coffee as it was late at night. She deserves a raise, and promotion.

Big middle finger goes out to dr mierek. He doesn't take pride in his job at all. And he doesn't care for a persons health if it involves the slightest bit of work. He only assumes, never evaluates.

If I could give a 0 I would! I came in for horrible stomach pains (which have been ongoing for MONTHS with no results). They put me in a literal closet with no medical supplies but a bed, table and chair. Proceeded to tell me it was nothing, after I described the pain was a 10/10 and sent me home to continue on with my pain. Went somewhere else and got told my appendix ruptured! I felt so judged and he left the door open to talk loudly about if I was pregnant, drinking, etc.

He also got involved into as why I was in Amsterdam if I didn't live there, like it was really any of Christopher Miereks business. Don't waste your time and go somewhere where the doctors are knowledgeable.

I understand that all emergency rooms are a triage situation and that patients are seen based on urgency but my experience with St. Mary's ER was the worst I've ever had. I came in with someone needing/asking for help and was met with disdain and contempt by the Dr in the ER. The main nurse assigned to him was attentive but the rest of the staff treated us like we were trash. Instead of help he was sedated and after 12 hours released with no information regarding any of his issues or prescriptions that we were told would be written for the health issues he was presenting.

This hospital seems cold and uncomfortable to me, especially when put in a room waiting for diagnosis. They give you a cold blanket. Seems like you wait forever to see anyone

This is where you go if you want zero help. If i had 10 minutes to live id risk the 15 to 20 minutes to go to another hospital. Runny nose broken bone great. Allt of pain and confusion. Well tbats when a supposedly doctor maybe comes in. They are more worried about covid then there patiences. This is a hospital Joe Biden can get behind. Go with low expectations.
