Coastal Children's has the WORST customer service. The receptionists and nurses. I never had any issues with any of the physicians. Everytime I call they're rushing me, won't let me finish what I'm saying and are very short. We've had so many issues, but this last one put us over the top. Over 4 days they still had not responded to my pharmacy about refilling my daughter's antidepressant medication, so I called directly.
They cut me off when I was trying to explain and then found out they didn't refill the prescription because she needed an appointment. Fine, that's fine. However, they didn't call me to tell me that or the pharmacy. Without a refill, she could go through withdrawls. Definitely not putting the patient's needs first. I will be switching to CarolinaEast Pediatrics.

Although I am usually very pleased with Coastal Children's Clinic as a whole Dr. Barden has changed that, he is very rude and unprofessional, he is a sore thumb for the practice and should watch how he speaks to children. I have asked that My children never be placed on his schedule again.

I would recommend Coastal Children's over and over. The staff at the front is so kind and whenever I have had a question or needed some peace of mind, the nurse has reached out quickly. Dr. Gunsten treats my girls like family. It's very comforting. I will continue to take my growing family there!

Very poor patient care! We went in for a check up, when we told them, that my youngest cannot wear a mask due to a skin condition that fabric or materials set off on her face. We go to a Dermatologist for this. The Doctor refused care even though everyone else in the party was wearing a mask except for her. We will never be back. And I recommend that if you need treatment to go to another facility that understands that patients see specialists in field of the concern. Hinch, a General Practitioner is not who we would see for this skin condition.
