Magid, M.D. is a Board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. He graduated from the University of California at San Diego and received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his specialty training in dermatology at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Botox

Botox is a neurotoxin medication which blocks the communication between the nerve and the muscle. With injection of minute amounts of Bot ox, the facial muscles responsible for "dynamic wrinkles" are relaxed resulting in a more youthful appearance. Dynamic muscles come and go when we smile, laugh or frown and include crow's feet (lines extending laterally from the eye), frown lines (lines from the eyebrows) and horizontal forehead lines. Side effects are uncommon with the administration of Botox but can occur.

Erbium Fractional Laser & Intense Pulse Light Treatments

We use a highly-advanced and versatile Erbium Fractional laser and an IPL (intense pulsed light) platform, all part of the Palomar Starlux 500 system. The Palomar Starlux is the most effective treatment for redness due to rosacea - a chronic skin condition characterized by facial redness, usually prominent on the cheeks, nose and chin.
