Services
LASIK Surgery
LASIK reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Our blade-free procedure uses advanced lasers for precision and rapid recovery. Over 90% of patients achieve 20/20 vision, with most noticing improvements within 24 hours. The procedure takes 1015 minutes per eye and includes pre- and post-operative care.
Cataract Surgery
We perform CATALYS Laser cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses. This method softens and removes cataracts while implanting lenses to restore clear vision. Patients experience reduced dependency on glasses, with most recovering fully within weeks. The procedure is safe, with a high success rate for improved visual acuity.
EVO ICL
EVO ICL corrects severe myopia by implanting a biocompatible lens without altering corneal tissue. Ideal for patients unsuitable for LASIK, it offers UV protection and immediate vision improvement. The 1530 minute outpatient procedure requires no daily maintenance and provides reversible, long-term results.
Dry Eye Treatment
Our treatments address chronic dry eye through advanced therapies like LipiFlow and TearLab diagnostics. We evaluate Meibomian gland function and tailor solutions such as NuLids or prescription eye drops. These interventions restore ocular surface health and alleviate discomfort, improving long-term eye wellness.
Corneal Surgery
We specialize in corneal transplants and cross-linking for conditions like keratoconus. Using precise techniques, we replace damaged tissue with donor corneas or strengthen the cornea with UV-activated riboflavin. These procedures halt disease progression and restore functional vision for patients with compromised corneal health.

Questions
Does insurance cover LASIK or cataract surgery?
LASIK is typically elective, but cataract surgery is often covered by Medicare and private insurers. Premium lens upgrades may incur additional costs.
What is the LASIK recovery timeline?
Most patients resume normal activities within 1–3 days, with full stabilization over 1–3 months. Avoid strenuous activity for a week.
Am I a candidate for EVO ICL?
Ideal candidates are aged 21–45 with moderate to severe myopia and healthy eyes. A consultation determines eligibility based on corneal depth and stability.
How long do cataract surgery results last?
Artificial lenses implanted during surgery are permanent and do not degrade. However, aging or other conditions may affect vision over time.
What dry eye treatments are available?
We offer LipiFlow, TearLab testing, NuLids, and customized therapies to address underlying causes of dry eye and improve ocular comfort.

The doctors here like Dr. Dash are AMAZING! I never had an eye doctor take the time to explain what all those eye tests are for, they usually just cart you off from one to the next. Very impressed with the level of attention and care.

What could have been a simple, routine procedure has been complicated by CoVid over policies. Primary PRK surgeon Dr. Olkowski only does operations on Thursdays on Oahu and even if you're vaccinated, they require you to get tested in their lab two days before. He also does operations on Maui, and there's another lady you meet with that advertises NuLids. I first considered PRK on the mainland about 10 years ago and have been told by others that have had success that they may have to get lasered again because of deteriorating eyesight.

I just feel safer using lenses when I'm active and glasses/tinted shades when I'm outdoors and need to drive somewhere. It comes down to location and commitment to a schedule, something that city workers and the residents they affect don't have control over.

Got my 20/20 vision in 2020! Dr. Olkowski and his team is amazing and knowledgeable. It can be pretty freaky to get your eyeballs worked on while being awake, but this team will make you feel comfortable! My only tip is to go straight home and nap after getting the surgery done. I tried to get lunch and my eyes were not too thrilled about it.
