In the early 1970's, Doctors Robert Haas and Michael Holmes, opened the doors to what is now called, Palmetto Eye and Laser Center. They were dedicated to providing the best patient care and offering the latest technology for cataract surgery. The practice was able to flourish and expand by adding more incredibly talented surgeons throughout the years.

Dr. Haguewood joined Palmetto Eye & Laser Center in 2002 and has quickly established a large and highly successful ophthalmology practice. He completed his undergraduate degree at Wofford College and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. His transitional year residency was completed at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and his ophthalmology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
