About Us
Report
Sandhills Pediatrics traces our roots to the first pediatrician in the Southeast, Dr. William S. Weston, who began practicing in the early 1900's. We were founded in 1975 by Dr. S. Nelson Weston and Dr. Charles A. James with the merger of their successful practices. Dr. Nelson Weston is the grandson of Dr. William S. Weston and also practiced with his father, Dr. William S. Weston, Jr.
5 Convenient Locations
Report
Sandhills Pediatrics Downtown is open Saturday and Sunday mornings for emergency sick visits. We encourage you to call us should your child become ill to ensure continuity of care is established. Our offices are equipped to assist you for most illnesses/injuries. In addition, since we have access to your child's chart, our physicians are able to offer comprehensive care.
Become a Patient
Report
The first step to transferring your child to our office is to complete a medical record release so that we can retrieve your child's records from your previous doctor. The practice functions most effectively as a medical home if patients/families provide a complete medical history and information about care obtained outside the practice. For more information, or for obtaining a medical record release, please call one of our convenient practice locations!
Required Immunizations
Report
We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to fully immunize their child(ren) according to the recommended immunization schedule published by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Failure to immunize the patient as below will be considered a voluntary termination of the doctor patient relationship and result in the patient having to transfer to another practice. We recognize that some parents wish to pursue an "alternative" or delayed immunization schedule.
