Advocates for Indian-American Physicians in Healthcare
Founded in 1982, we serve as the premier professional organization representing physicians of Indian origin in the United States. Our mission focuses on advocacy, professional development, and fostering connections between U.S. and Indian medical communities. We actively address healthcare policy reforms, immigration issues affecting international medical graduates, and disparities in medical practice. Through annual global health summits and leadership programs, we empower physicians to excel in patient care, research, and community service. Our advocacy efforts include Medicare/Medicaid policy reform, visa streamlining for foreign-trained doctors, and promoting preventive care for South Asian populations. With over 100,000 members, we maintain a strong presence in both U.S. healthcare policy discussions and Indian medical collaborations. Our organization has consistently advocated for equitable treatment of Indian-American physicians while addressing public health challenges affecting minority communities. We facilitate credential recognition for international medical graduates and work to expand residency opportunities. Our initiatives combine cultural heritage with modern medical practice to enhance healthcare outcomes across diverse populations. Through strategic partnerships with U.S. and Indian institutions, we continue to shape healthcare policy and professional development opportunities for our members.
