CFV is a locally owned, independent optometry practice located in the heart of downtown Carrboro. We offer the full spectrum of eyecare services: routine and medical eye exams, contact lens fittings, post-operation care, specialty consultations, an on-site optical shop, and many others. Our patients are the motivating factor behind everything we do.

We understand that every patient and situation is unique, so we work hard to be ready for whatever brings you through the door. We're also big on patient education, so feel free to ask questions or voice concerns at any time.

Our main purpose is to help you see life better. Starting around age three, doctors recommend everyone have a routine vision exam once per year. This exam isn't just to check your prescription; it also provides a crucial look at the health of your eye. Refraction - The doctor will measure your visual acuity (how well you see) and determine whether you need glasses or if there has been any change in your current glasses prescription.
We ♥ Carrboro
Report
These are some of our partnerships with local organizations, as well as a few of our own initiatives to give back to this place we love so much. Local students can visit CFV to nominate their teacher to be entered into a drawing for a free eye exam and a free pair of glasses. CFV is certified as a breastfeeding family friendly business, and we are glad to be located near many other baby-friendly health organizations in the area.

CFV has its own parking lot right behind our building (off Oak street). In the off chance the lot is full, there is a free Carrboro town parking lot just across Weaver St. CFV is situated between Weaver Street Market and the Carrboro Commons (Farmer's Market), next to PNC bank and across from Restaurant Provence.
Contact Lenses
Report
The contact lens exam is distinct from the routine eye exam in process and price, since insurance companies require optometrists to bill them separately. Most patients opt to complete both exams in the same visit, but anyone who has had a routine eye exam within the last six months is welcome to come in for a stand-alone contact lens exam.
