Mighty River Wellness

Mighty River Wellness is hands down my favorite place to go for Acupuncture. I always feel so relaxed as SOON as I step into the door. Plus, the entire office looks and smells AMAZING!

Dr. Hoehn is incredibly knowledgeable in Fertility and how to treat several other conditions. She provides quality information and resources for her patients. Her care is customized to each individual and you can tell that she really loves what she does. Being in an atmosphere with someone who cares and is so dedicated to helping her patients would make any patients that come into the office want to stay. Plus, the adorable office dog Clyde is the cherry on the top!

Dr. Beck Hoehn is an excellent acupuncturist and I cannot recommend her highly enough. I was in a car accident in October and was dealing with ongoing neck and back pain as a result. From the start, she was thoughtful, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable in how she approached my treatment.
In addition to helping me recover from my injuries, Dr. Hoehn also paid attention to my overall wellness and addressed other areas of my body that clearly needed support. Her approach always felt intentional and personalized, not rushed or generic.
I am happy to say that I have made significant progress since starting treatment and feel noticeably better overall. Dr. Hoehn genuinely cares about her patients and it shows in both her work and results.

Dr. Holly Swyers filled in over the holidays and did an outstanding job with my pain management. While my regular treatment with Dr. Hoehn focused more broadly on my back and overall wellness, Dr. Swyers took a very direct and targeted approach to pain relief.
Her sessions were focused, efficient, and clearly centered on addressing the specific areas that needed attention. She did not stray from the goal of managing pain, and I appreciated how straightforward and effective her treatment was.
Both practitioners are excellent in their own way, and Dr. Swyers made what could have been a disruptive break in care feel seamless. I am very grateful for the care she provided during that time.

Dr. Swyers is highly professional, patient, and deeply knowledgeable. She takes the time to understand concerns, communicates clearly and thoughtfully, and approaches her work with genuine care. Her calm, grounded presence and attention to detail made each visit feel comfortable and reassuring. We consistently felt respected, supported, and well cared for.

We also want to say a huge thank you to Callie, who handles all the billing and scheduling. She is incredibly efficient, professional, and has been consistently helpful along the way. The entire team is fantastic, and we are truly thankful for the care and support weve received.

Update 2/9/25: my IVF transfer last year was successful on the first try! Dr Hoehn administered acupuncture before and after the transfer while giving a guided mediation which completely calmed my nerves. She later helped flip my baby from breech to head down just a couple weeks before he was born. Im so grateful she was with me through the whole journey.

Dr Hoehn is a godsend. Ive been working with her to prepare for IVF. She has been so generous with her time and has made a genuine effort to get to know me and understand my needs.

Dr Hoehn shares her wealth of knowledge on things like nutrition and provider recommendations (REIs, physical therapy, mercier therapy). She helps explain parts of the process that you may not get from your REI - things like what to expect on the day of your transfer and how to counteract some of the symptoms that come into play when youre on various mediations. She has book recommendations and allows you to borrow them from her library. Shes a healer and genuinely cares about her patients wellbeing. Shes also really funny!! I look forward to every appointment. The office has such a calming vibe and its been so helpful in managing my stress levels.

Gabby her office manager is also amazing. She is on top of everything and incredibly kind.

I truly look forward to every visit with Dr. Hoehn she's not just an acupuncturist, she's like a therapist, girlfriend, and doctor all rolled into one. Shes funny, kind, and incredibly easy to talk to, which makes every session feel really special.

During the thick of my IVF injections (Lupron, iykyk), her work significantly reduced the side effects I was experiencing. Before seeing her, I really struggled. But now, it almost feels like I have no side effects at all. She even came to my transfer, led a beautiful meditation to help me breathe through the nerves, and truly advocated for my right to pee, haha. I honestly dont want to imagine what that day would've been like without her.

My fertility journey is still in progress, but I feel so much more at peace and supported, and that has everything to do with Dr. Hoehn. Shes an absolute gem.

I'm so happy I found this clinic. Dr. Beck has been so kind and amazing throughout my fertility journeyand just life in general. I look forward to these appointments every week! Even though so many people come and go in the IVF process, she takes the time to make you feel like your case truly matters. Shes helped make everything feel so much calmer and more manageable, and I always leave feeling supported and prepared. My transfer is coming up soon, and honestly, Im just as excited to have Dr. Beck by my side as I am my husband! LOL. Gabby is also super warm and accommodating, and always makes visits easy and welcoming. Im really grateful to have them both as part of this experience.

Beck is extremely warm, and I was touched that she always remembered details about my family and inquired how everyone was doing. I have been working with Beck for several years to balance my cycle, and I was fortunate enough to get pregnant on my first round of IVF. Beck treated me before and after the transfer, which I believe contributed to the success. I consider this to be my miracle baby, as Im 40 years old and my only daughter is already 18. Im so thankful for the care and attention I received along the way.

In short, Dr. Hoehn is the best! She was a calm and hopeful place while navigating infertility challenges, she provided solid referrals for IVF docs, and helped prepare my body to conceive and successfully bring our baby into the world! I recommend her for anyone longing to become a parent, who could benefit from a strong knowledge about the interworkings of infertility, body and hormonal shifts/inconsistencies, and impact of external stressors. She has answers, a calm and hopeful spirit, and will be with you for the entire journey!

Dr. Hoehn is the best. She is kind, patient, and funny, and makes you feel much less alone in the long, often lonely process of trying to have a baby when you have fertility issues. I had never tried acupuncture before coming to see Dr. Hoehn, but she immediately put me at ease. Her office is a restful, calming place, complete with adorable, enormous dog (Clyde). Receptionist Gabby is also fabulous and so helpful. Highly recommend!

I have been working with Dr. Beck Hoehn for the last few months and I was so glad that I stumbled upon her practice. She is incredibly knowledgeable and takes care of you as a whole person and not just another patient. She is kind, warm and exudes an energy that feels like you have known her forever! I feel very supported and cared for at her practice. If you are coming to her for natural fertility support or IVF support, she tailors her tips to you. She guides you with foods that will be supportive along with tools outside acupuncture designed to aid in getting to the final destination--> BABY!! The office is aesthetically pleasing with red light therapy, warmed patient beds, lavender aromatics and sounds of the ocean lulling you into relaxation that you forget there are needles in your body :)

Dr. Hoehn and her team are wonderful. I loved my experience at Mighty River Wellness and felt that Dr. Hoehn was so informed and could really help guide me on my fertility journey after experiencing RPL. I'm preparing to have my baby this week and I can honestly say I feel the treatment and acupuncture I received at Mighty River Wellness played a huge part in our success.

I usually just use doctors that are covered by my insurance. And Dr. Hoehns services are soooo amazing and life changing that I didnt care paying out of pocket for my treatment. She has reasonable prices and believe me when I say she is worth every penny!! I came here because my fertility doctor recommended her and she has exceeded my expectations. She even gives you a nutrition plan, some supplemental vitamins, cupping therapy and neck massage when my neck is just too tight and under tension. I could definitely say Dr. Hoehn's Fertility acupuncture treatments have been a pivotal part of my wellness routine plus preparing me to my ifv cycles. If you're in Los Angeles and seeking a holistic approach to fertility, don't hesitate to visit. Keep in mind that acupuncture can increase the chances of getting pregnant for women undergoing fertility treatment by 65%, according to different studies!! So Dr. Hoehn will do everything in her hands to make your dream become a reality!

I cannot recommend Dr. Hoehn and her staff enough! She has made me feel so supported and has provided invaluable knowledge and insight throughout my fertility journey. She truly takes the time to get to know her patients and she offers comfort and sensitivity, while also empowering her patients to feel much more in control of this process. She is just a gem of a human and I tell everyone I know about her. I'm so thankful to be a patient at her practice ...I only wish I had found her sooner!!

Beck and Mighty River Wellness are AMAZING. I have been going to her on and off for various issues and I have learned SO much about my body, my cycle and feel so comfortable in her care. She is a wealth of info and expertise and has also formulated some amazingly helpful Chinese herbs to take in-between appointments. She is caring and feels as much like a friend as well as a health provider. That is important. To actually have a Dr. that cares about YOU and puts in the energy to help you navigate whatever you are dealing with.
