The Affirm laser is a nonablative dual wave-length laser (2 laser treatments in each pulse). The 1440nm wavelength addresses the upper levels of the skin to insure the energy addresses and treats surface conditions whereas the 1320nm wavelength bypasses the top layer of skin and focuses on deeper levels to create many more microcolumns of thermal injury.
