Retina Associates of Kentucky's physicians and staff diagnose and treat many retina disorders, with specialization in retina detachments, macular degeneration, diabetes related conditions, histoplasmosis and uveitis. Retina Associates of Kentucky Research Division engages in research studies on national and international levels, working in collaboration with the other research centers such as the National Eye Institute. Retina Associates of Kentucky is proud to offer excellent post-residency fellowships in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous since 1998. In 2007 the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky joined us in a joint fellowship program. The fellowships offered include two-year medical/surgical fellowship and a one-year medical retina fellowship.
Thomas W. Stone, MD

Thomas W. Stone, MD completed his ophthalmology residency at Duke University Eye Center as chief resident and completed his vitreoretinal fellowship at Emory University Eye Center in 2002. He is recognized in the "Best Doctors in America" and is listed among Castle Connolly's "Top Doctors". His clinical interests include macular degeneration and all aspects of diabetic eye disease, especially complex retinal pathology.
