Our team combines clinical expertise with patient education to help manage this diabetes-related complication effectively.
Age-Related Macular Degeneration
We offer cutting-edge diagnostic tools and treatment options for both dry and wet AMD, including anti-VEGF injections and photodynamic therapy. Our approach emphasizes early detection through OCT imaging and tailored management strategies to slow disease progression while maintaining quality of life for patients.

The procedure is performed with local or general anesthesia depending on patient needs.
Retinal Laser Therapy
We utilize precision laser technology to treat retinal tears, diabetic retinopathy, and macular edema. This outpatient procedure creates microscopic burns to seal leaking blood vessels or reinforce retinal attachments, helping preserve vision with minimal recovery time for patients.

My optometrist saw an irregularity in my retina and suggested I as a specialist. She called Illinois Retina Assoc. and got me an appointment immediately. I was greeted warmly and the front efficiently and quickly checked me in. It was a short wait before I was seen by a tech who was also very courteous and pleasant. Dr. Flood and his team were very thorough and explained what was happening without being complicated and allowed me time to ask questions. I never felt rushed or hurried because they had other patients to see. I highly recommend this team.
