The mission of WV Health Right is to provide comprehensive quality healthcare to impoverished uninsured/underinsured adults regardless of insurance or financial status. WV Health Right is predicated upon four assumptions. These assumptions are basic to the activities, services, and functions of the clinic and its staff (paid and volunteers).

First, each person is viewed as having inherent uniqueness, value, and worth, and is therefore worthy of the respect of others. Third, with these rights, there are corresponding responsibilities.

The clinic provides a range of health education programs aimed at improving the health status of patients. Health education is a key component of WV Health Right's system of care. WV Health Right cares for adult patients who have no health insurance or patients who have Medicaid/Medicare. The clinic has a long-standing commitment to serving the working poor of our communities.

There are a number of ways you can donate to WV Health Right to help us continue to provide vital and lifesaving healthcare to low-income uninsured/underinsured, and underserved adults throughout south-central West Virginia. WV Health Right is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible, to the extent allowable by law.

Health Education

Good health is not just a matter of biology and medical care but of behavior, environment, and social conditions. In addition to medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and pharmaceutical services provided at the clinic, WV Health Right staff and volunteers also offer health education classes to provide the clinic's patients with self-management techniques that promote personal responsibility for health improvement. Many of WV Health Right's patients suffer from one or more chronic conditions that have a profound impact on their health and quality of life.
