The staff there is really friendly. The receptionists and the techs are all lovely. Dr McCabe though, in 2 out of the 3 times I have been there, has rushed through my appointments. he was very short when answering my questions and wasn't very friendly. The care was not what I want from a healthcare professional, and I'm not sure I'll be back.

Dr. McCabe May be a great ophthalmologist but patients are quadruple-booked and treated like it's a cattle call. Seriously. I've witnessed patients straight out of surgery, myself included, waiting :3+ HOURS for a post op exam. As a former healthcare provider, I know that scheduling patient appointments 5 minutes apart is not only unnecessary, it's unethical. Apparently, Dr. McCabe care more about hurrying off to the golf course than he does his patients. Loved the results of my surgery, but, honestly, I won't return. Ever. My time is just as valuable as his.

Both my husband and I are patients with Dr. McCabe. We absolutely love him and his staff. There have been some times where we have waited longer than usual but the visit and the work he does are always worth it. Dr. McCabe spends the time to talk with you, make you feel comfortable and to be sure you don't have any further questions. He has done an excellent with my left eye and two days after surgery I am feeling no pain and ready for the right eye. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I am relatively new to the Murfreesboro area, and I was trying to find an eye doctor that was close to home that I could become established with because I have a history of Lasik eye surgery. This doctor not only had me wait for about 7 months before I could get into an appointment with him, but also told me that I may or may not have glaucoma. I am a young woman with no significant health history and no significant eye disease history in my family.
I was very distraught when he told me this and I felt like the staff didn't seem to care. They were more worried if I had my covid vaccine. I also did not get glasses this day, but I'm not sure if this is a standard procedure? Anywhere else that I have gone, I have gotten glasses ordered the same day. They basically gave me a prescription and said you can go have this filled somewhere else gave me another appointment for a month later for a glaucoma test and then a month later for the results of it.
I then went to my original eye doctor two hours away back home and they gave me a completely different prescription for my eyesight and told me there was no way I had glaucoma. I definitely do not recommend this facility.

On Tuesday May 18th, I came to McCabe Vision Center for my eye exam, As always he and his employees are very polite. However, on this day I had a awful experience with the Medics transportation service. When I finished there at the Center I contacted the bus service making them aware I was ready for pickup(I have a wheelchair). They claimed i would be picked up in 20 minutes therefore I patiently waited after 30 minutes I contacted this company again and was told my pickup would now take 1 to 2 hrs.
I was left there for literally 2 hrs. Whereby this experience was the worst. One of Dr. McCabe employees whose name is Kim promised not to leave me until they finally came for me and I want to acknowledge the kindness shown me by Kim. Thanks Kim

Been going to McCabe Vision Center for years. Staff is great but Jessica (tech) is amazing! So courteous and cheerful. Always smiling and puts you at ease before any procedure. Very knowledgeable.
