Dr. Mahoney founded Mahoney Dermatology Specialists in 2007, with his wife Erin and a staff of two. Our dermatology practice in Pinellas Park FL and St Petersburg FL is, and always will be, a local family business. Our goal was to create a dermatology practice that was patient-focused, centering on providing cutting edge dermatology for our patients without the "assembly line" feel of many of the large dermatology practices surrounding us today. As patients ourselves, we don't like to be rushed, and we appreciate the opportunity to ask questions about the our diagnosis and treatment.

Your insurance company assigns a set amount for payment of services to your physician. The co-pay is what your insurance company has assigned as your responsibility to pay at the time of service as part of the total amount due. The insurance company deducts the co-pay amount from the payment paid to the physician.
