We have been delivering beautiful cosmetic, reconstructive, and plastic surgery results to the greater community of Middletown, New York for more than 20 years. Our practice is led by Dr. Chevalier Stefan, a boardcertified plastic surgeon with a Doctor of Osteopathy degree. Our surgeon has completed chief resident appointments in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Cooper Hospital in New Jersey and at the Hospital of St. Raphael in Connecticut. Our surgeon earned multiple scholarships, including the Rochester National Scholarship and the Hofheinz Scholarship from the University of Rochester. We are proud that Dr. Chevalier is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Our surgeon proudly served as a Major (Ret.) in the United States Air Force Reserves, applying his surgical expertise to military medicine.
We maintain active attending physician privileges at Orange Regional Medical Center, St. Anthony's Community Hospital, and Bon Secours Community Hospital. We also serve as a consultant at Catskill Regional Medical Center, extending our reach to additional communities. We combine artistically inspired techniques with rigorous medical standards to enhance each patients natural beauty and emotional wellbeing. I went to see Dr. Chevalier for a consult and I left there feeling confident that he was the right surgeon for me. He was thorough in his explanation and answered all of my questions. Needless to say, I scheduled my appointment with him and I was very happy with the results. He did an excellent job on me and I highly recommend him. The girls at the front desk, Meagan and Sarah, are very sweet and helpful. The office is outdated but don't let that deter you from making your decision. Dr. Chevalier is an excellent doctor.

Absolute worst experience! Don't waste your time! Estheticians in this practice are absolutely useless, and there is no effort made to "truly learning your craft" at this office and they have no communication or training with the plastic surgeon himself. Tried to get a chemical peel here and wasted 2 visits with no results! What a waste of time

I went for a breast reduction consultation and left his office feeling DISRESPECTED and discouraged. The doctor had ZERO bed-side manor. He didn't acknowledge anything I told him and when I asked questions he was very vague - I had to pry to get a real response to anything. It felt like the consultation was an inconvenience to him. I found him to be very disrespectful too. At one point I had to remove the paper "shirt" and he snatched it, ripping it.
When he was done, instead of letting me cover up again, he continued to talk and then opened the door - potentially exposing me to the whole staff right outside. I had to rush to turn around and cover up with something. The office itself was very dirty/outdated. The chairs in the room were all stained and the paper from the last patient was still on the table. The staff were nice enough, but unprofessional - laughing and joking loudly behind the desk.
I would never let this person come near me with a knife. Luckily for me, after a month they had still not sent my request to my insurance, so it was easy for me to find a different doctor. I found a professional doctor, with a hard-working staff, who did an amazing job.

While Dr. Chevalier was a professional and had good bedside manner, something else could be said of the staff that works in the billing department. The procedure itself took something in the neighborhood of 15 minutes but cost myself and in the insurance company what would be a new car. When asked about a bill that rolled in nearly 4 months later, the billing department response was that if you have a question about the billing and what the hospital covered speak to the insurance company. don't mind paying the additional amount but why does it seem that the hospital and doctor would charge for the exact same thing? telling me they don't know why the charge is on both billing statements is not a good answer
