Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut, P.C., was started in Danbury in 1979. Our main office and administrative center is now located in Newtown. In addition, we have full-time offices in New Milford, Ridgefield, and Southbury. Our offices are open six days a week and evening hours are available.

Skin cancers are the most common type of cancer can be highly curable with early detection and treatment. Our physicians are highly skilled in the detection and diagnosis of skin cancers and we offer a wide array of treatment options for our patients. The two most common types of skin cancer are Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) and Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) which can be treated in our office with procedures such as electrodessication and curettage (scraping and cauterization) or surgical excision.Depending on the size and location of the skin cancer, your dermatologist may recommend that you are treated with Mohs surgery in our office by our experienced Mohs surgeon, Dr. Kimberly Eickhorst.

Mohs micrographic surgery is a specialized surgical technique for removing skin cancer. It was developed in the 1930's by its originator, Frederic E. Mohs, MD and has been refined into the most effective treatment for skin cancer to date. Mohs is performed by a dermatologist that is trained in surgery, pathology, and reconstruction who has also completed at least one additional fellowship year.

Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a hyaluronic acid filler used to smooth and soften moderate to severe wrinkles around the mouth and nose. It is ideal for correcting smile lines (parentheses around the mouth), corner lip lines, and marionette lines which occur from both our facial movements and the decrease of hyaluronic acid and collagen found naturally in the skin over time.
