The process typically takes 45-60 minutes with detailed follow-up explaining results and treatment recommendations.
Pediatric Eye Care
Specialized pediatric eye examinations focus on early detection of vision problems in children. Our optometrists assess for common conditions like refractive errors, strabismus, and amblyopia using age-appropriate testing methods. We provide corrective solutions including glasses and vision therapy while educating parents about developmental vision milestones.
Specialty Eye Care
We diagnose and manage complex eye conditions including dry eye syndrome, ocular hypertension, and diabetic retinopathy. Our specialty care includes myopia management programs and low vision evaluations using specialized diagnostic equipment. Treatment plans incorporate the latest therapeutic approaches and ongoing monitoring for chronic conditions.

Our contact lens evaluations ensure proper fit and eye health compatibility. The process includes corneal topography, tear film assessment, and trial lens fittings. We offer specialized fittings for astigmatism, presbyopia, and irregular corneas while providing comprehensive instruction on lens care and hygiene practices.

Was given a set of glasses that do absolutely nothing for me. Had to opt for lined Biphocals due to the extreme cost of one's without the line. First week the glasses seemed to help, now while working, my computer screen is blurry and can't make anything out unless I'm holding my head up to look through the Biphocal part. Called and spoke with Sara who said I should have went with the no line and that would help with the blurry computer vision. Well, during my visit, I was asked what I did for a living, and I said I work in front of a computer for 8hrs a day.

No one told me that if I didn't go with the more expensive alternative that I would literally be holding my head up all day to see clearly. Seems like a pretty important detail to leave out. These glasses were a waste of my money. When I called I explained something isn't right, you could tell she could care less, just kept repeating I would need to get the no line in order to see the computer. Never again will I waste my time or money at Johnson Curan.

Paid out of pocket for new lenses. Paid to have them installed and one cracked along the edge less than 4 months later. They won't warranty them because no coating was added. The lens is cracking because of improper installation. They should have been properly fitted to the frames. The crack is spreading. The nose pieces are also installed upside down. Not a way to treat a customer for over ten years.

That $35 dollar lens will cause them to loose a customer and his spouse. The phone number listed on the website is wrong. Had to call the Franklin road office and get transferred. They didn't tell me the new number.

Lack of customer courtesy and nickels and dimes every service. Rude front desk and over priced cheap frames. I'm done. I'd rather pay more elsewhere then be subjected to their dry demeanors. Even behind a mask, you can smile and be polite. Even the Dr. was rude when I visited in Dec. I kept giving them a try but I won't be going back.

I have been going to Dr. Johnson for years, and he is a super Optometrist. He is always cheerful, and very thorough and informative. His staff are equally as great. They know all the options available and the benefits of what they sell. I love their selection of beautiful frames.

After years of dealing with Dr. Blackstock and recently with Dr. Johnson I had my first bad experience with his location. Dr. Johnson is a great Doctor but my experience on April on April 26, 2021 showed the incompetence level of his staff! They put the worn lens's in the wrong frames. I ask them why they didn't ask me or look at the lens. So they came out and said our mistake and we will send the lens's back at no charge!

Really like they were doing me some favor. My patience was tried when I ask for the ready glasses back even if they were in the wrong frames, but they insisted that they needed to send them back. They wanted to give me my old lens's back. Why I can't see out of them but hey no appologies. So speaking with the manager her response yes we had to send them back and that was it. I will not return to this location again. Beware and know that they do not care! They should have put a rush on the new lens's to help their customer. Not the same group anymore.

OD Johnson and his staff are quite good at what they do. Their expertise, efficiency and seems to really care are all reasons I will return for future eye care. They should get a Service Excellence Award.
