CT Myelography
Report
Myelography is an imaging examination that involves the introduction of a spinal needle into the spinal canal and the injection of contrast material in the space around the spinal cord and nerve roots (the subarachnoid space) using a real-time form of x-ray called fluoroscopy. In most cases, myelogram is followed by a computed tomography (CT) scan to better define the anatomy and any abnormalities.
Low-Dose Screening Chest CT
Report
Excel is pleased to offer Lung Cancer Screening using Low-Dose Screening Chest CT for smokers and other high risk patients. Lung Cancer is the second most common cancer in the United States, with over 220,000 new cases diagnosed every year. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women.
CT Angiography CTA
Report
In CT angiography (CTA), non-ionic iodinated contrast material is injected into a peripheral vein and special x-ray equipment is used to produce multiple images. A special computer is then used to join them together in 3-D and multidimensional views. This produces detailed images of both blood vessels and tissues, useful in planning before angioplasty and stent placement, and other potential interventions. To schedule a CTA, please contact the office in New Port Richey, Florida, by phone or book your appointment online.
