Services
Integrative Oncology
Our integrative oncology approach combines conventional cancer treatments with advanced diagnostics and lifestyle interventions. By analyzing each patient's unique biochemistry and molecular profiles, we create personalized treatment plans that reduce toxicity and enhance effectiveness. This science-backed methodology incorporates chronomodulated chemotherapy, nutritional therapy, and biobehavioral support to address cancer's systemic nature while improving quality of life.
Chronomodulated Chemotherapy
Chronomodulated chemotherapy optimizes treatment timing based on circadian rhythms to minimize side effects and maximize efficacy. Using specialized infusion pumps, medications are delivered at biologically ideal times, allowing higher doses with fewer adverse effects. This precision approach improves patient tolerance while enhancing anti-cancer activity through synchronized drug delivery aligned with both bodily cycles and tumor biology.
Molecular Diagnostics
Comprehensive molecular diagnostics analyze tumor biology and patient biochemistry to guide personalized treatment decisions. Our advanced testing evaluates genetic mutations, metabolic pathways, and immune status, creating detailed maps of cancer's molecular drivers. This data informs targeted therapies and lifestyle modifications, ensuring interventions address the specific biological mechanisms fueling each patient's disease progression.
Cancer Recurrence Prevention
Our recurrence prevention program targets cancer's molecular roots through sustained lifestyle modifications and targeted therapies. By maintaining biochemical environments hostile to cancer growth, we address genetic instability, inflammation, and metabolic imbalances that contribute to relapse. Individualized plans combine nutritional interventions, fitness regimens, and biobehavioral strategies to reinforce long-term remission and systemic health improvements.
Biobehavioral Counseling
Biobehavioral counseling addresses psychological factors impacting cancer outcomes through stress management and emotional support. Our program recognizes how mental health affects biochemical pathways, immune function, and treatment tolerance. Techniques include mindfulness practices, relaxation training, and cognitive-behavioral strategies tailored to each patient's emotional needs, enhancing overall treatment effectiveness and quality of life.

Questions
What is integrative cancer treatment?
Integrative cancer treatment combines conventional therapies with evidence-based complementary approaches. We use chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery alongside nutritional therapy, chronomodulation, and biobehavioral support to create personalized plans targeting cancer's biological and systemic aspects.
How are treatment plans personalized?
We analyze molecular profiles, biochemical markers, and lifestyle factors through comprehensive diagnostics. This data informs individualized strategies addressing each patient's unique cancer biology, ensuring targeted interventions that optimize treatment effectiveness and minimize toxicity.
What is chronomodulated chemotherapy?
Chronomodulated chemotherapy delivers drugs at biologically optimal times based on circadian rhythms. This approach reduces side effects while enhancing efficacy by synchronizing treatment with both bodily cycles and tumor biology for improved patient tolerance and outcomes.
How does nutrition affect cancer treatment?
Nutrition directly impacts biochemical environments where cancer thrives. Our dietary programs use whole foods and supplements to create inhospitable conditions for cancer growth while supporting treatment effectiveness through metabolic and immune system optimization.
What recurrence prevention strategies exist?
Our recurrence prevention program combines targeted nutrition, fitness regimens, and biobehavioral interventions to maintain biochemical environments hostile to cancer. Personalized plans address genetic instability and metabolic imbalances that contribute to relapse risk after remission.
Are telemedicine appointments available?
Yes, all first-time appointments are conducted via telemedicine. This includes consultations with Dr. Keith Block and treatment planning discussions, ensuring safe access to care while maintaining personalized, comprehensive evaluation processes for new patients.

I went to see Dr. Block in 1983 because I was a real medical mess. In a very short period of time, and with a dietary change totally turned my life around. I have been sending cancer patients to him since. There is no better physician on the planet.

A truly integrative center, the block center opened in 1980. They offer conventional chemo along with biobehavioral care, dietary assessment, supplements and vitamin infusions. all based on your specific body. I started coming here 1 month ago and my lab results have never looked better. My hair is not falling out even thought same chemo took it last year. I feel great! There are lots of new clinics claiming integrative care as if this is a fad. However, be careful they are offering more than the conventional chemo, surgery, and radiation. The block center is taking a whole body approach and is worth looking into!

This is the most wonderful cancer center! You don't want to need such a place. But if you need it, how grateful you will be to have found it. Not only is their approach life saving for so many, but they combine heir incredible knowledge with an equal store of kindness. I was so nervous going in, and I am so grateful I did!
