Services
Cataract Surgery
Cataract surgery at Arrowhead Eye Center involves removing cloudy natural lenses and replacing them with advanced intraocular lenses. Dr. Kootman uses minimally invasive phacoemulsification techniques to ensure faster recovery and reduced complications. Patients benefit from improved vision clarity and reduced dependency on glasses through premium lens options like Crystalens and ReSTOR.
LASIK Vision Correction
Our LASIK procedures utilize blade-free IntraLase and wavefront technology to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. CustomVue treatments create personalized corneal reshaping for enhanced visual outcomes. Most patients achieve 20/20 vision within 24 hours, with minimal post-operative discomfort and rapid return to daily activities.
Routine Eye Exams
Comprehensive eye exams assess vision health and detect early signs of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Our evaluations include intraocular pressure testing, retinal imaging, and refraction analysis. Annual exams are recommended for all ages to maintain ocular health and update corrective lens prescriptions.
Dry Eye Treatment
We offer LipiFlow therapy for chronic dry eye caused by meibomian gland dysfunction. This in-office procedure unblocks oil glands and restores natural tear production. Additional treatments include prescription eye drops, punctal plugs, and lifestyle modifications to alleviate symptoms like redness, irritation, and blurred vision.
Corneal Transplant
Arrowhead Eye Center performs partial and full-thickness corneal transplants for patients with damaged or diseased corneas. DSEK procedures replace only endothelial layers, minimizing recovery time. Traditional penetrating keratoplasty uses donor tissue for severe corneal scarring. Both methods aim to restore visual acuity and corneal structural integrity.

I had an eye injury and have been at the office for 2 hours and JUST got numbing eye drops to stop the pain. I waited two hours for that. That was the first time I got to see the Dr. Haven't seen him since. Still waiting. Also no hand washing in between.

Dr Kootman is amazing! I can't say enough great things about him as a cataracts surgeon! From the first visit where he completed his thorough assessment and explained the procedure and the various options available to me, to the actual cataracts surgery where he meticulously worked with the utmost precision and care and explained what he was doing each step of the way, telling me exactly what to expect and how I would feel during and after the procedure. I had my first eye done on Nov 16 and I am seeing 20x15 in that eye, and I had my second eye done yesterday, and I am seeing 20x20! Nothing short of amazing!

I have trusted this practice for years with my eye health. Being a diabetic I have regular exams to check the health of my eyes. I have had cataract surgery on both eyes without any issues. The staff is always courteous and pleasant when I go in.

I came in 3 weeks ago and was seen by Doctor Miller, this was without doubt the worst eye exam I have ever had on a number of levels, but the data doesn't lie.my prescription I received indicated the standard of my vision had become worse by 100% in the past 2 years, and I had bad vision to start. This wasn't discussed, just a prescription given. I didn't think my vision had deteriorated that much so just got another exam (at my own cost now) and the results were essentially the same as two years ago. How Dr Miller made her assessment I have no idea. Overall the office and demeanor of the staff was extremely unprofessional, I would not recommend this practice.
