Sleep Apnea
Dallas Sleep specializes in diagnosing and managing obstructive and central sleep apnea through comprehensive sleep studies and personalized treatment plans. Our team utilizes advanced diagnostics to identify breathing disruptions during sleep and implements therapies like CPAP, BiPAP, and oral appliances to restore normal breathing patterns. With 22 million Americans affected by sleep apnea, our clinic provides education on associated risks such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular complications while ensuring ongoing support for long-term treatment adherence.
CPAP Therapy
Our CPAP therapy program includes equipment selection, pressure titration studies, and follow-up care to optimize treatment effectiveness. We offer guidance on mask fitting, troubleshooting, and maintenance while providing proprietary accessories like Dr. Kakar's Pillow to enhance comfort. With 3 out of 4 patients maintaining improved sleep quality after 12 months, our team ensures proper device usage through data analysis from CPAP smartcards and regular patient consultations to address therapy challenges.
Sleep Studies
Dallas Sleep conducts in-lab and home-based sleep studies to diagnose disorders like insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and upper airway resistance syndrome. Our accredited sleep centers use advanced monitoring equipment to track brain waves, oxygen levels, and breathing patterns during overnight stays. For patients preferring home testing, we provide portable devices that measure breathing effort and snoring while offering detailed instructions for accurate data collection, ensuring precise diagnoses for tailored treatment approaches.
Snoring Solutions
We address chronic snoring through comprehensive evaluations to determine underlying causes such as airway obstruction or sleep apnea. Treatment options include lifestyle modifications, positional therapy, and specialized devices to maintain open airways during sleep. Our team educates patients on the health implications of untreated snoring while providing follow-up care to ensure treatment effectiveness, with 85% of patients reporting improved sleep quality after intervention according to our clinical outcomes.
UARS Treatment
Our clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome (UARS), a condition often misdiagnosed due to its subtle symptoms. Through detailed sleep lab analysis measuring respiratory effort-related arousals, we develop targeted interventions including CPAP therapy, dental appliances, and surgical options when appropriate. With UARS affecting primarily non-obese individuals and women, our team provides specialized care addressing daytime fatigue and sleep disruption through personalized treatment protocols tailored to each patient's anatomy and lifestyle needs.

If you want a much better place, go to ZZZ Sleep Specialists 469-878-5607 in Allen. First appt and they are sending me to Baylor for my sleep study and have a cpap on order since they take a little while to come in. Certainly not getting the run around or being overcharged!

Terrible service and staff. I have been going to this DR for at least 5 years and each year the service and the staff just gets worst and worst. I hate writing reviews and as you can see i dont write them much as no one has time for all of this. But this had to be written. The staff is just under trained and not compitent in thier line of work. They cannot figure out the insurance and supply situation.

Dallas Sleep office manager is completely unprofessional. I had a sleep study done two years ago and called in for a prescription so i can get a FREE CPAP.I was told i need to come in for another sleep study which is another 190 out of pocket. When i asked the NP why she said you may not need a CPAP but another machine. I didn't get my CPAP from them the first time because they were trying to push another product on me that my insurance didn't cover. I told them i found a way to get one free through my insurance and just need my prescription. Guess they want the money to go to their hands. Im already looking for a new doctor.

The front desk has been rude and the office is difficult to work with. They hang up the phone without saying good bye and all I want is for access to my records. Worst doctors experience I've ever had.

Beware! I was told with my insurance that the test was going to cost $50. I asked repeatedly and was assured that that was correct. Well guess what? She was wrong. She didn't suggest I call my insurance to verify benefits. Now I am being billed $700. If I would have known it was going to a deductible, I would have waited and not had it done on 12/28. I always trust the doctors office when they quote me an amount and have never had an issue.

This place is terrible, stay away. They try to get you to take unnecessary tests that will be denied by your insurance company, because they are unnecessary and then try to get you to pay out of your own pocket. When I decided not to return and cancelled my last appointment they proceeded to charge me a "No Show" fee of $35 even though I cancelled the appointment more than 24 hours in advance. Seems like they only want to get money out of you, not really help you. Now I am getting bills they say I owe for dates that I did not have appointments when I have already paid them.
