Services
Cosmetic Brow Lift
Cosmetic browlift procedures rejuvenate the brow area by addressing sagging brows and forehead wrinkles. Using minimally invasive techniques like endoscopic approaches, these surgeries enhance facial symmetry and restore a youthful appearance while maintaining natural expressions. Patients benefit from shorter recovery times compared to traditional methods. The procedure addresses both aesthetic concerns and functional issues like brow ptosis that can affect vision.
Ptosis Repair
Ptosis repair corrects drooping upper eyelids caused by muscle weakness. This procedure improves both visual function and appearance by repositioning the eyelid muscle through incisions hidden in natural creases. Adults typically experience improved vision and reduced eye strain, while children receive treatment for congenital ptosis. The surgery addresses both functional impairment and cosmetic concerns about tired facial expressions.
Lower Lid Blepharoplasty
Lower lid blepharoplasty addresses under-eye bags and puffiness through precise fat removal and skin tightening. The transconjunctival approach minimizes visible scarring while improving facial harmony and reducing signs of aging. Patients achieve smoother contours and a more rested appearance. The procedure specifically targets age-related changes in the lower eyelid anatomy.
Non-Surgical Injectables
Non-surgical options include Botox/Xeomin for dynamic wrinkles and dermal fillers for volume restoration. These treatments address crow's feet, forehead lines, and facial hollows with minimal downtime. The effects last several months to a year depending on product type. These injectables complement surgical procedures or serve as standalone solutions for facial rejuvenation.
Tear Duct Surgery
Tear duct surgery corrects epiphora through procedures like DCR to bypass blocked drainage systems. The surgery addresses both congenital and acquired tear drainage problems, improving both comfort and eye health. Patients experience reduced tearing and decreased risk of infection. The procedure combines functional restoration with cosmetic considerations for facial appearance.

Questions
What makes oculoplastic surgeons different from general plastic surgeons?
Oculoplastic surgeons complete dual training in ophthalmology and plastic surgery, focusing exclusively on eyelid and facial structures around the eye. This specialized expertise ensures both functional and aesthetic outcomes for complex eye-related procedures.
Do you accept insurance for eyelid surgery?
Functional eyelid procedures may be covered by insurance when medically necessary. Cosmetic procedures are self-pay. Our staff will review your specific insurance benefits during your initial consultation.
What non-surgical options are available?
We offer Botox/Xeomin for dynamic wrinkles, dermal fillers for volume loss, and CO2 laser resurfacing for skin texture improvement. These treatments are performed by our board-certified surgeons for optimal safety and results.
How do I prepare for eyelid surgery?
Bring a list of medications, supplements, and medical history to your consultation. Avoid blood thinners before surgery, and arrange for transportation on your procedure day for safety reasons.
What locations do you serve?
We have offices in Glendale and Scottsdale, Arizona, serving patients throughout the Southwest region. Our surgeons also see patients from international locations for specialized oculoplastic care.

Dr Chen performed blepharoplasty (drooping eyelids) on both of my eyelids last June and I cannot express how happy I am with the outcome. Better than I could have imagined. The procedure was such a breeze. Did it while awake and no problems. Best decision ever! He is very kind and professional! Strongly recommend!

Horrible bedside manner! Did not listen to what I had to say at all. Very frustrating and disappointing. I won't see Dr. Chen again.

I went in for ptosis surgery one my right eye. Excellent result! Very precise. I do have to agree with other comments about the staff. On both offices I found that they lacked customer service skills. Not quite rude but they came across as annoyed and not friendly at all.

A TRUE PROFESSIONAL! I am in the television and entertainment business and (although shallow) my appearance on the stage is very important to my career. I am thrilled with my results with Dr. Chen and his staff. I went for a trans lower bleph, and although I was not a slam dunk candidate or a 10 out of 10 who was in dire need of a procedure, Dr. Chen told me very clearly that I was a 5-6 and what to expect.and I am very happy with the results!

There is more healing time, but what I love about this experience was that Dr. Chen and his staff were the following: professional, EXCELLENT BEDSIDE MANNER, listened to me (I even had a list of questions on a piece of paper and there was no eye rolling, sighs, or impatience from him), and he is skilled! It is very hard to find that combination in any business, never mind ocularplastic surgery. He also is not too "aggressive" in his surgeries--as in the oversculpted and swollen looks of so many people today--that he gives you a wonderful refreshed look! He is fair, reasonable, and in something so impossible the care for your eyes, I would go back to him in a second! Go see him!
