Chapel Hill Family Medicine is pleased to offer Medical Examinations for Immigration to Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Dr. Burgert and Dr. Lambert are Designated Medical Practitioners who are certified by these countries to perform your Medical Exam. Our Staff and Physicians have over 25 years of experience in providing this service.

From a young age, I was drawn into the extraordinary field of science and felt a deep desire to help people. My greatest joy in practicing family medicine is the privilege of caring for the health and well being of patients of all ages. I strive to provide the level of time and attention that every patient deserves, which allows me to learn about each person's life and coordinate customized care. As a wife and mother of five children, I consider my patients an extension of my family by serving them well.

As a board certified Family Physician, my passion is to provide highly personalized care to each of my patients. My desire is to help all of my patients (regardless of age or current state of health) to optimize their physical and mental wellbeing, happiness, longevity, and productivity. I spend a lot of time with my patients in order to understand how their stressors, nutrition, environment, relationships, activity levels and more affect their health.It is my ability to listen and my desire to truly understand the root cause of a problem that led me to join the MDVIP family.

Question: I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed a basal cell cancer on the tip of my nose. He said I needed to be treated by a Mohs surgeon. I stifled the urge to say that I'd prefer Larry's or Curly's surgeon, certain that the dermatologist was too young to get the reference. He gave me some literature on Mohs surgery and made an appointment for me.
